Situated on a SE-facing slope of rising ground in a mountainous region with a nearby hillfort (TN028-070) to the W. A circular area (diam. 33m N-S) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.7-1m; ext. H 2-2.5m) and waterlogged outer fosse (Wth 3m; ext. D 0.75-1m) with a causewayed entrance (Wth 6m) at ESE. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
