Situated in reclaimed pastureland on a gentle SW slope in rolling terrain. Depicted on the current OS 6-inch map as a roughly circular enclosure with a field boundary transecting the E sector. The site (approx. diam. 41m E-W) has been levelled but the fosse is faintly discernible, the W portion being clearest.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
