Situated on a slight break in an otherwise steep SW-facing slope, in pasture. A river flows roughly NW-SE along the valley floor at the base of the slope. The site (diam. 34m E-W) is enclosed by a bank largely reduced to a scarp (H 1.15m) and a deep U-shaped fosse (Wth 6.3m) with outer bank (Wth 5.1m; int. H 1.43m; ext. H 2.04m). The interior is densely overgrown with scrub, brambles and gorse, particularly in the NE half. The outer bank has been dug into at N and heaps of spoil have been dumped there. There is a possible causewayed entrance in the SE quadrant with a reduction in the outer bank. Heavy growth impairs visibility and examination of possible entrance feature.
