What is recorded here

Situated on a NW-facing slope in a wood. A trivallate ringfort consisting of a circular area (diam. c. 17m) enclosed by a bank reduced to a scarp (H 0.75m), a wide flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 9.1m; D 2.04m), an earthen bank (Wth 7.2m; ext. H 0.75), a fosse (Wth 6.4m; D 1.18m) and an external bank (Wth 6m; ext. H 1.11m). The site is transected by a roadway in the NW quadrant. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
