What is recorded here

Situated on the brow of a hill, sloping to the SW, in undulating terrain, in pasture. A univallate ringfort consisting of a roughly circular area (diam. 24.4m N-S; 28m E-W) defined by a bank (Wth 3.8m; int. H 0.57m; ext. H 1m) and shallow fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.2m) only visible in the SE quadrant. Entrance (Wth 1.7m) in the SE sector. A field boundary wall runs concentric to the site from W to NW. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
