What is recorded here

This site is built into a steep NE-facing slope in pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1st and latest ed. OS 6-inch maps. The site is enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 3.8m; int. H 0.95m; ext. H 1.31m) and a narrow, steep-sided, U-shaped fosse (Wth 3.5m; D 0.55m). The interior slopes to the NE and has an undulating surface with the possible foundations of an internal structure. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
