Situated on a terrace in rolling pastureland, with ground sloping sharply to the NW beyond the terrace. Depicted as an oval enclosure on the 1st (1843) and current (1904) ed. OS 6-inch maps, with a field boundary truncating the E side on the later ed. The site has been levelled with no visible remains above ground. The field boundaries immediately E and N of the site have been cleared.
