Situated on a S-facing slope of rising ground in undulating countryside. Depicted as a small circular earthwork on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map. Only a short stretch of the S part of this earthwork is depicted on the revised 1901 ed. OS 25-inch map . Not visible at ground level.
