Situated on a S-facing slope in rolling pastureland. A badly damaged, roughly circular raised area (diam. 29.5m N-S; 27.5m NE-SW) defined by a scarp (H 2.35m), a broad, flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 5.7m; D 1.5m) and an earth and stone outer bank (Wth 2.9m; ext. H 2.16m), particularly substantial at W. A large section of the site at E has been quarried out while at S the fosse has been filled in and the outer bank levelled. The outer bank at N is incorporated in a NE-SW field boundary. The interior slopes gently to the SE.
