Located at the base of a SW-facing slope on slightly undulating ground in pasture. Depicted on the 1954-5 OS 6-inch revision as an irregular hollow. A roughly circular area (diam. 33.5m E-W), the S portion being truncated by a road on a NW-SE axis. The site is defined by an internal scarp (H 1.19m), a fosse (Wth 7.5m; D 1.24m) and an earthen outer bank (Wth 3.9m; ext. H 0.78m). There is a causeway in the NE quadrant. Old field banks abut the NW sector. The site is damaged by uprooted trees and cattle poaching.
