In 2000 archaeological excavation by Donald Murphy revealed a fulacht fiadh consisting of a spread of burnt material measuring 5m x 14m with two small pits beneath the burnt spread. A possible trough (dims. 1.5m x 1.75m x 0.34m) lay immediately NE of the burnt material (Bennett 2002, 325). Carried out under licence No. 00E0221.
