The site has been stripped and excavation has started. The remains consist of four
burnt mounds (three found in testing and a new one). A Burnt Mound (BM) identified
in testing has since turned out to be natural, blackened soils
• BM3: Deposit around 7m in diameter x 0.20m high. Nearby to this spread are
two large, very circular pits that may be wells.
