What is recorded here

Located on a gentle NE-facing slope, in pasture. A roughly circular area (diam. c. 54m NW-SE) defined by a bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.15m), a U-shaped fosse (Wth 3.5m; D 0.9m) and an outer bank (Wth 3.6m; ext. H 0.73m). A large silage pit has been dug into the interior at W, with a corresponding mound of spoil to the E. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
