Situated on the crest of a N-S ridge in undulating pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map with field boundaries abutting the N, S and W sides; similarly depicted on the 1903 ed., though all adjacent field boundaries had been removed. Site now levelled; no visible trace above ground.
