Situated on a SE-facing slope in pastureland with enclosure (TN011-022----) located immediately to the W . Marked as a circular earthwork on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map but not indicated on the 1903 ed. implying it was levelled between 1840 and 1903. Not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
