Situated in gently undulating pasture on a SW-facing slope. A roughly D-shaped area (dims. 34.7m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3.7m; int. H 0.53m; ext. H 1.08m) and outer fosse (Wth 4.8m; D 0.43m). At S and W the bank has been modified by incorporation into a field boundary.
