What is recorded here

Situated in tillage on the highest area in the field. Depicted as a semi-circular shaped platform-type earthwork on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map that was intersected on its W side by a roadway running N-S. Not depicted on any subsequent edition of the OS 6-inch maps. Not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
