What is recorded here

Situated on a SW-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area. A circular area (diam. 36m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank mainly reduced to a scarp (H 1.3m) and an external fosse (Wth 2m; D 1m) with possible entrance gap (Wth 4m) at NE. The site has been quarried at S destroying both bank and fosse and portion of the interior. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
