Situated on flat pasture with extensive views and nearby fortified house (TN010-017001) to the E. An aerial photograph (CUCAP, AVN 74) shows the outline of three circular enclosures. A linear feature (TN010-016002) c. 74m long extends c. N-S for c. 20m before turning NW-SE to run between the two northernmost enclosures. Not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
