Situated on a low rise of ground in undulating countryside. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map as a D-shaped enclosure intersected on the W side by a townland boundary running on a NNE-SSW axis. This monument is not indicated on subsequent editions of the OS 6-inch maps. Not visible at ground level.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
