Situated on a low hillock in undulating countryside with a possible ecclesiastical enclosure (TN007-034001) to the SE. A disused dried-up circular well (diam. 2m E-W x 3m N-S; D 1.7m) which according to the OS Letters (O'Flanagan 1930, vol. 3, 28) was named after Simon Grady who erected an altar beside the well. Directly S of the well are two rectangular slabs one of which bears the inscription 'This is erected at this well in memory of St Passawn. Born in place of pilgrimage...1772' (FitzPatrick 1985b, 43-8).
