In a water meadow, 29m from the old shoreline of Lough Gara and 10m from the summer water level. A somewhat dry area (10m N-S; 7m E-W; H 0.2m above the meadow), with diffuse irregular edges, that seems to consist of stones on sand and lake-mud. (Cross 1953, fig. 1; Fredengren 2002, KILA 043)
