In rough pasture, on flat low-lying wet ground. A rectangular area (c. 13.7m N-S; 18m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.7m) on the N, E and S sides and abutting a field boundary on its W side. Modern drains abut the scarp at E and S. Indicated as a circular raised area (diam. c. 40m) on the 1838 OS 6-inch map and as a D-shaped raised area on the E side of a field boundary on the 1910-11 OS 6-inch map.
