In heather-covered rough grazing, in the centre of a circular flat-topped spur of a ridge in the Bricklieve Mountains. The ground drops steeply into an upland valley to N and E and a narrow ravine separates the spur from rising ground to W where a cashel (SL040-154----) is located c. 50m to WSW. Breaks in the surrounding high ridges give views ENE to Lough Arrow, to S and on a distant ridge to N, two of the Carrowkeel passage tombs are visible. A roughly circular cairn of stones (7.5m N-S; 9.6m E-W; H 1.25m) located off-centre to N within a circular enclosure (SL040-105001-). The cairn is largely sod-covered and very dilapidated. It has been partially quarried out at NW and as a result presents an irregular, slumped profile. A ruined field boundary wall (Wth 1.5m; H 0.25m), visible as a linear heather-covered rise, bisects the enclosure on an E-W axis and clips the S edge of the cairn. From the base of the cairn the ground slopes down gently to the edge of the enclosure N-E.
