What is recorded here

In pasture, on the S-facing slope of a drumlin. A circular area (int. diam. 20m N-S; 19.8m E-W) enclosed by a low earthen bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1m) with a shallow external fosse (Wth 3.3m; D 0.2m). A slight trace of an outer earthen bank is evident along the E arc. The entrance (Wth 3.5m) is at S. The interior is uneven and waterlogged and slopes down to S even though the S portion is raised to compensate for the hillslope. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005). Date of upload: 18 January 2008
