What is recorded here

In pasture, on a gentle N-facing slope of a low rise. A slightly raised oval area (25.3m N-S; 27.5m E-W) enclosed by a flat-topped earthen bank (Wth c. 2.7m; int. H c. 0.7m; ext. H 1.1m) NW-SE and by a low bank (int. H 0.2m) SE-SW. The bank SE-SW is partially covered by a field boundary which skirts the perimeter SE-NW. Two other raths (SL037-016---- and SL037-017----) are 100m to SSW and c. 100m to SE, respectively. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
