What is recorded here

In pasture, located on a slight terrace on an E-facing slope, not far from the base of the slope where the ground levels out to an expanse of lowlying, boggy ground through which the Arrow or Unshin River meanders. This enclosure is not indicated on any edition of the OS 6-inch maps, but is visible in current aerial views. This enclosure has been levelled and the remains are barely discernible at ground level. The outline of a roughly circular area (diam. 18-20m) can be traced as a slight undulation/cropmark. The interior slopes down gently to E, mirroring the natural hill slope. There is an ESB pole just outside the perimeter at WSW. Two rath (SL034-090----; MA034-091----) are located 175m upslope to W on the same ridge.
