What is recorded here

Not listed in either the SMR (1989) or the RMP (1995). Not shown on any edition of the OS 6-inch map. There is an SMR (1989) file for the site which describes 'six arrangements of trees' in the Newpark demesne. According to the SMR (1989) file, these are not monuments but landscaping features. This is likely to be post-1700 AD in date. Compiled by: Archaeological Survey Unit, UCC Date of upload: 04 January 2012

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
