In pasture, on the lower southern slope of Muckelty Hill. An oval area (40m N-S; 48m E-W) terraced into the hillside with the N portion up to 1.2m below and the S portion raised up to 1.8m above the external ground level. However, the interior retains a gentle slope down to S. The rath is overgrown with brambles and hawthorn and heavily poached by cattle.
