On top of a low rise. A naturally raised roughly circular area (29m N-S; 25m E-W) defined by a scarp (max. H 2.8m). An external fosse (Wth c. 7m) is evident along the SW, W and N arcs while there is a terrace (Wth 5m: H 1m) at the base of the scarp along the S arc. Along the outer edge of the fosse is an earthen bank (Wth 5m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H c. 0.9m). A NNW-SSE field boundary truncates the E edge of the rath. The interior is quarried into on the S and E arcs.
