In pasture, on top of a low rise. A raised circular area (31m N-S) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 4.7m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.05m) with numerous gaps. An external fosse (Wth 6.7m) and counterscarp bank (Wth 1.6m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.3m) are evident along the N arc. A possible entrance (Wth 2.6m) is at SE. A linear NE-SW earthen bank (Wth 2m; max. H 0.5m) bisects the interior. There is a possible souterrain (SL032-039002-) in the W half of the interior. A disused quarry cuts into the fosse and interior at N. According to O'Rorke (1878, 305), Mass was said 'on or near the rath of Fal-na-sugan' and 'a hedge-school' was taught on weekdays in the ditch of the rath. There are three other raths (SL032-037----; SL032-038----; SL032-064001-) in this townland and it is not known which was being referred to by O'Rorke.
