In rough upland pasture, on a S-facing slope of the Ox Mountains and adjacent to a cashel (SL031-017----). A low heather and scrub-covered rise (L c. 15m), from which an occasional stone protrudes, extends from the cashel wall at SE. From there a densely overgrown stone-faced scarp (H 1m) extends eastwards along a natural break in slope for c. 40m until it abuts a N-S property boundary wall. Due to a forest plantation it was not possible to determine if the scarp extends further to the E. Remnants of an E-W wall can also be traced c. 20m downslope to S. A line of tall ferns, extending a short distance to SW from the cashel wall at W, may also indicate the remains of a wall. Immediately to W of the cashel is a large rectangular field which is indicated on the 1914 OS 6-inch map.
