What is recorded here

In rough, rush-grown pasture, on a terrace on a high ridge. To S−SW ground rises to the top of the ridge; immediately to N−NE a steep slope drops to flat, damp ground. There are extensive views NW−NE with the Ox Mountains visible in the background to NW, Knocknarae to NNW and the Ballygawley and Dartry Mountains to N−NE. This enclosure is not indicated on any edition of the OS 6-inch maps; a circular outline is visible in aerial imagery. It was levelled at an unknown date in the past and is difficult to trace at ground level. Dense rushes obscure the location, but the outline of the enclosure can be glimpsed in part as a very slightly raised area (diam. 17-18m). There is a rath (SL027-096----) 15m to W and another (SL027-197----) 160m to E. Notified to NMS by Jean-Charles Caillère.
