In undulating pasture, on the N-facing slope of a ridge. A slightly raised circular area (diam. c. 20m) defined by a scarp (H 0.4m) along the N and W arcs and by an earthen bank (Wth 4m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1m) along the S and E arcs. There is a shallow external fosse at the base of the scarp along the N and W arcs. Remains of stone facing is evident on the external face of the bank and on the internal face in parts. The interior is partially overgrown and slopes gently down to N. From cartographic evidence (the 1914 OS 6-inch map) the bank along the S and E arcs appears to have been incorporated into a field boundary system. Linear deep drains on E-W and N-S axes, lying to the S and E of the bank respectively, separate it from recently constructed field boundaries.
