What is recorded here

A bullaun stone was noted in 1986 on the NW side of a lane close to the 19th-century estate feature known as Mount Caulfield, within the Annaghmore estate. This bullaun stone is no longer visible and farm buildings have been constructed in the immediate vicinity. Another bullaun stone (SL026-049001-) was recently noted at Annaghmore House. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005). Revised: Paul Walsh Date of upload: 26 January 2012

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
