What is recorded here

In pasture, near the base of a S-facing slope. A slightly raised circular area (diam. c. 30m) enclosed by an earthen bank incorporating some stones. The bank (Wth 2.8m; int. H 1.95m; ext. H 0.5m) is best evident along the N arc while along the S arc it is low internally but substantial (ext. H 2.8m) externally. The N half of the interior is level and, while the S portion is raised to compensate for the hillslope, it retains a slope down to S. In the centre at the break of slope is a large horizontal slab, probably a lintel from a possible souterrain (SL025-023001-). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
