In wet pasture, located in the base of a narrow NE-SW valley, adjacent to the NW side of a NE-SW field drain, with traces of an old stream bed curving around the W side of the mound. One of several fulachtaí fia and burnt mounds which occur over a distance of c. 1.5km along the flat-bottomed valley. This mound was levelled during land reclamation works in the early 1990's. Remains comprise a roughly circular spread (diam. c. 8m) of shattered sandstone within a charcoal-rich matrix.
