Situated in marshy ground at the base of the E-facing slope of a low ridge. A low circular mound (diam. c. 15m; H 0.5m) is evident at the interface of the wet ground and the dry rising slope. In the section face of a modern NE-SW drain, which clips the N edge of the mound, a layer (D 1m) of burnt stone and charcoal is exposed.
