What is recorded here

On the N-facing slope of a low rise. Raised circular area (dims.20.9m E-W; 20.5m N-S) enclosed by a bank of earth and stone (Wth. 3m - 3.9m; int. H 0.5m - 0.95m; ext. H 1.3m - 1.8m) Portions of a possible kerb, where stones protrude the sod, can be traced within the interior. From E of the centre of the interior is a linear feature, on a NNW-SSE axis, which may mark an internal division. In the SE quadrant is a rubble-filled feature of unknown significance. Poorly defined, low area at W (Wth. c.3m) probably marks the original entrance. There is a eroded gap (Wth. 1m) in the bank at S. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 19 January 2011
