Situated on a rise in level, lowlying pasture. Circular platform (dims. 34m E-W; 33m N-S) atop a high mound of earth and stone (H 3.1m). The platform is enclosed by a wide, low bank of earth and stone (Wth. 6m; H 0.5m) with evidence for internal stone kerbing. At the foot of the mound is a wide fosse (Wth. 5m) with a substantial outer bank (Wth. 5m; H 1m - 1.3m). The outer bank has been modified and incorporated into the field boundary from SSE-S-WNW. Stone-lined breaks in bank at E (Wth. 1.5m and 2m) with connecting causeway represents original entrance. Within the internal area, immediately inside the entrance, is an approx. square, slightly sunken area (dims. 9m NE-SW; c.8.5m NW-SE - D 0.2m) whose SE and SW sides are defined by settings of small stones. Only the outline of its NW side is now identifiable.
