What is recorded here

Situated a short distance N of Skreen Church of Ireland and in proximity to the Early Christian and later medieval ecclesiastical remains (see SL019-006---, SL019-007---- and SL019-008----). It comprised an apparently naturally-occurring platform. Habitation material was uncovered in trenches excavated in 1962 as part of the construction of a new rectory. This included hearths, quantities of animal bones and sea shells, a bone spindle-whorl and a bone pin. (NMI Topographical File 1962; Lucas 1964, 98) Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 19 January 2011
