In wet, marshy pasture at the base of an E-W ridge, situated on a small island of firm ground on the SE side of a naturally-occurring, spring-fed pool. It comprises a low semicircular mound (7m N-S; 4m E-W; H 0.4m) of shattered sandstone fragments within a matrix of black soil. The trough area is at W, facing the pool. The top of the mound is partly eroded by farm stock. There is a fulacht fia (SL018-091001-) c. 30m to NE, a burnt mound (SL018-091002-) c. 80m to NE, and a another burnt mound (SL018-091003-) c. 60m to N.
