In a broad expanse of heather and sedge-covered blanket bog. There are old turf cuttings throughout the area, and small-scale machine harvesting takes place in parts.
This record was not listed in the SMR (1989). It was listed in the RMP (1995) as ‘field system’ but no source of information or field description was added to the file at that time. The area was inspected in 2014. Evidence of a possible field wall was found on an area of level, slightly elevated ground. Immediately to W there is gentle slope down to W to a slightly lower wetter expanse of bog. The possible wall consists of a widely gapped, single line (L c. 15-16m N–S) of c. 12 low stones, oriented roughly N–S. The stones barely protrude above the bog surface. Two stones are exposed to a height of 0.30m but the rest are barely visible. No evidence for an extensive field system was found.
