At the N end of Enniscrone village, situated at the NW edge of a low ridge in undulating pasture. Raised circular platform (32m N-S; 31.5m E-W) enclosed by a wide bank (Wth 6.1-6.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 2.5m at W, 1.8m at E) of earth and stone. There is evidence for stone kerbing at the inner face of the bank. A break (Wth 2.5-3m) in bank at SE with accompanying ramp represents the original entrance. At the centre of the enclosed area is a low sod-covered mound of stone (diam. c. 4m). To W of this is an opening to a souterrain (SL016-014002-).
