What is recorded here

Situated on a low rise in undulating pasture. Circular platform (diam. 25.5m), enclosed by a low earthen bank (Wth 1.6m at W, 2.4m at E; int. H 0.2-0.4m; ext. H 0.4m at W, 0.8m at E) with evidence for internal and external stone kerbing. The external slope of the bank is enhanced, especially at N (H 1.6m), by the natural slope of the rise. A break (Wth 3m) in the bank at W, whose N side is stone-lined, marks the original entrance. Extending from the internal face of the bank at E towards the centre of the enclosed area is a low linear bank (L 8m; Wth 1.2m; H 0.3m). Built against the inner face of the rath bank at N are the remains of a possible rectangular hut site (SL016-002002-). Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 19 January 2011
