Located on a level area on the SE edge of an expanse of lowlying boggy ground. A roughly circular surface spread (diam. c. 8m) of angular stone fragments in charcoal-rich soil was exposed in the course of topsoil removal by a mechanical digger. Another discrete patch of burnt stone and charcoal (diam. c. 3m) is located 6m to N but this is probably material displaced by the machine.
