Situated on summit of a low elongated E-W orientated hillock, in pasture, 20m to the ENE of a ditch barrow (SL015-047002-). Natural ground level slopes down gently to the N, E and S of the site. Circular slightly raised area (diam. 7m) enclosed by an earthen scarp (ext. H 0.15-0.4m). At the external foot of the scarp are a fosse (Wth 2.6m) and an external bank (Wth 1.75-2.65m; int. H 0.2m). The NE one-third of the site slopes gently facing NE reflecting the underlying natural slope of the hillock.
