In poorly draining low-lying land. There are three holy wells in close proximity here and there is some discrepency as to the designation applied to each on the 1837 and 1940 editions of the OS 6-inch map. On the 1940 edition of the OS 6-inch map this monument bears the designation 'St. Brigid's Well'. However on the 1837 edition it is named 'St. Patrick's Well' and 'St Brigid's Well' is shown c.110m ESE. This well comprises a square area (dims. 1m square) is enclosed on three sides by drystone walls (int H 0.95m; ext. H 0.57m; Wth 0.9m). There is an entrance at the SE (Wth 0.89m). There were no steps.
