What is recorded here

Located in level pasture, 15m SSE of the rocky shoreline of a cove. The mouth of a river, which enters the sea in the middle of the cove, lies 100m to W. Knocknarae is visible on the horizon to E. The Ox Mountains dominate the skyline to SE. Slightly raised, circular area (diam. 16m N–S, c. 17m E–W) defined by a broad, low bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.65m, at W) with a gently rounded profile. A few stones protrude randomly from the sod covering of the bank, particularly at W and NW. A roughly circular, poorly defined rise (diam. c. 2m) is barely discernible in the centre of the interior. A later field wall (Wth 0.5m; H 0.9m) on a N–S axis cuts the E edge of the barrow.
