What is recorded here

In the SE quadrant of an enclosure (SL012-095003-). Listed in the RMP (1995) as ‘hut site’. It is shown on the OS 25-inch plan as a circular hachured feature abutting the bank in the SE of the enclosure. It consisting of a subrectangular area (c. 8m N–S; c. 6m E–W) defined by a low, sod-covered stone bank (Wth c. 1.2m; ext. H 0.3-0.5m). The E side of the house may merge with the enclosing wall of the enclosure but this area is engulfed in dense brambles and can not be examined closely. It was recorded by Ó Nualláin (1989, 95 no. 3) as a rectangular structure, probably the foundations of a house. Compiled by: Jane O'Shaughnessy Date of upload: 24 January 2014
